The music industry and fans across Punjab are in a state of deep shock following a devastating update from Ludhiana. Yashinder Kaur, popularly known by her stage name Inder Kaur, has been found dead. The twenty nine year old Punjabi singer had been missing for six days under deeply suspicious circumstances.

On Tuesday morning authorities recovered her body from the Neelon canal near Kuba village bringing a tragic end to a frantic search operation. The discovery has sparked immense grief among her online community and has triggered a major criminal investigation by the local police.

The Mysterious Disappearance From Jamalpur

The nightmare for the family began on the evening of May 13 2026. According to statements given to the police by her brother Jyotinder Singh, Inder Kaur left her residence in the Jamalpur area of Ludhiana at around 8:30 PM. She had stepped out in her white Ford Figo car to purchase some routine household groceries from the nearby market.

When she failed to return home late into the night her family grew anxious. Their attempts to reach her via mobile phone were unsuccessful as her device had been switched off. Recognizing that something was terribly wrong the family initiated a search and subsequently approached the Jamalpur police station to report her missing.

Grim Discovery Of Vehicle And Recovery Of Body

The investigation took a dark turn when local authorities located the singer abandoned vehicle. The white Ford Figo was found parked near the Neelon canal in Rampur village. Upon closer inspection investigators discovered disturbing evidence inside the vehicle including significant blood stains. The initial forensic assessment strongly suggests that the young artist was assaulted or murdered inside the vehicle before being moved.

Following the discovery of the car search teams focused their efforts on the water body. On Tuesday morning around 11:00 AM divers successfully fished the body of Inder Kaur out of the Neelon canal near Kuba village. The body was later transported to the Civil Hospital in Samrala for a comprehensive post mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.

Stalker Angle And The Transnational Escape Route

As the police delve deeper into the case a chilling backstory involving stalking and a rejected marriage proposal has emerged. The family of the deceased has leveled serious allegations against a man named Sukhwinder Singh, also known as Sukha, who originates from Moga but is currently based in Canada.

According to reports Inder Kaur and Sukhwinder had become friends on Instagram about five years ago. However when the singer discovered that Sukhwinder was already married and had children she immediately distanced herself and flatly rejected his persistent marriage proposals. This rejection allegedly angered the accused.

Police investigators have uncovered a calculated plot. Sukhwinder traveled from Canada to India via Nepal on April 29 to execute the crime. On May 13 he along with his associates allegedly ambushed Inder Kaur and kidnapped her at gunpoint in the Mundian Kalan area. Immediately after committing the murder and dumping the body Sukhwinder fled the country using the exact same route through Nepal to return to Canada.

Police Action And Outpouring Of Grief From Fans

The Jamalpur police have officially upgraded the initial kidnapping case into a full scale murder investigation. While the prime suspect Sukhwinder Singh remains at large abroad authorities have made swift progress locally. The police have arrested Sukhwinder father Pritam Singh along with his associate Karamjeet Singh for their alleged involvement and assistance in the conspiracy.
