Man Found Dead At Krishi Thapanda's Home

A shocking incident has sent waves through the Kannada film industry as a forty five year old businessman was discovered deceased inside the Bengaluru residence of actress and model Krishi Thapanda. The deceased individual has been identified as Vaishak Upadhyay, a resident of Girinagar who was known to be a close friend of the prominent actor. The tragic discovery occurred late Wednesday night at the Elegant Terrace Apartments located in the upscale Rajarajeshwarinagar area, commonly known as RR Nagar.

Local law enforcement authorities have initiated a comprehensive investigation to uncover the exact circumstances surrounding this tragic development. While preliminary assessments point toward suicide by hanging, the police are exploring all angles related to the final hours of the businessman.

Discovery At Elegant Terrace Apartments In RR Nagar

The unfortunate event came to light on the night of June twenty fourth when Krishi Thapanda learned about the situation at her rented apartment. According to the Rajarajeshwarinagar police, Vaishak had been staying at the flat for a few days with the knowledge of the actress. Reports indicate that Krishi had been away from the property for nearly a week due to shooting commitments, spending time in Nelamangala and Yelahanka while Vaishak remained alone at the apartment.

Vaishak possessed one of the duplicate keys to the flat. Shortly before the incident, Vaishak reached out to the former Bigg Boss Kannada contestant via a phone call and indicated his intent to end his life. Deeply alarmed by the distress call, Krishi immediately alerted his family members, who rushed to the location. Upon entering the apartment, they discovered Vaishak unresponsive in the bedroom. Authorities were notified immediately, and police teams arrived on the scene around eleven in the evening.

Distress Messages and Final Communications Revealed

The preliminary investigation conducted by the Bengaluru police has revealed critical details concerning the mental state of the businessman prior to his demise. Sources within the police department state that Vaishak was battling severe depression and facing acute personal challenges, including marital disputes that led him to live away from his wife and thirteen year old child for nearly a month.

Before taking the extreme step, Vaishak sent multiple distress text messages to Krishi Thapanda expressing immense exhaustion with life. Records show that the actress tried extensively to console him over phone calls and text messages, urging him against taking any drastic measures. In their final conversations, Krishi even suggested that they plan a visit to the Kukke Subrahmanya Temple together to help him find peace, a proposal to which he initially agreed. Despite these efforts, Vaishak ultimately succumbed to his distress while alone in the residence.

Prior Legal Controversies Linked To Vaishak Upadhyay

This developing case has drawn immense public attention due to the high profile nature of the location and the controversial history of the deceased. Earlier this year, Vaishak found himself under intense legal scrutiny when he was arrested by the HAL police in connection with a sensational extortion and threat letter case.

The legal dispute involved a prominent local advocate and businessman named Aravind Reddy. Investigations revealed that an anonymous courier demanding an extortion sum of six to seven crore rupees along with an official apology had been sent to Reddy. Forensic tracking eventually linked the threatening courier back to Vaishak, leading to his arrest and subsequent judicial custody. Though he was later released on bail and secured a stay from the Karnataka High Court on further investigation, he was reportedly experiencing severe isolation and major financial hurdles. Investigators are currently examining whether the immense pressure from this active legal battle contributed to his deteriorating mental health.

Current Status Of The Police Investigation

The Rajarajeshwarinagar police station has officially registered a case under the classification of an Unnatural Death Report following a formal complaint lodged by the father of the deceased. A team of forensic experts visited the scene to gather vital physical and electronic evidence from the apartment. Notably, investigators have confirmed that no suicide note or final video message was recovered from the premises.

The body was moved to Victoria Hospital in Bengaluru for a detailed post mortem examination to scientifically verify the cause of death. Law enforcement officials have already recorded the official statement of Krishi Thapanda and secured the text exchanges between her and Vaishak. While Vaishak’s wife, Meghana, and the rest of his family have not alleged foul play or named any specific individual in connection with the tragedy, authorities maintain that further actions will depend entirely on the final autopsy findings and forensic analyses.
