Dude Box Office Collection Day 12

Tamil romantic action-comedy Dude, directed by Keerthiswaran, starring Pradeep Ranganathan, and Mamitha Baiju, has reached its twelfth day of release in theatres. Releasing on October 17, 2025, Mythri Movie Makers, the movie started to good figures and soon gained momentum on Tamil and Telugu-speaking states. Currently, Dude’s box office collection in India is ₹66.82 crore net, while its worldwide gross has exceeded ₹100 crore, making it a full-blown blockbuster.

Day-Wise Box Office Breakdown

The movie saw a great opening week, courtesy Diwali holidays and good word of mouth. Here is a brief overview of its box office collection:

  • Day 1: ₹9.75 crore (Tamil ₹6.5 crore, Telugu ₹3.25 crore)
  • Day 2: ₹10.4 crore
  • Day 3: ₹10.6 crore
  • Day 4: ₹10.8 crore
  • Day 5: ₹8.75 crore
  • Day 6: ₹4 crore
  • Day 7: ₹2.2 crore
  • Week 1 Total: ₹56.5 crore net in India

The second week has witnessed a dip, with Day 12 domestic collections dropping below ₹1.5 crore, but the film is going strong in international markets.

Dude vs Bison Kaalamaadan: Diwali Clash Update

Dude opened together with Bison Kaalamaadan, another Tamil film that has held up well through good word-of-mouth. While Bison has displayed more consistent domestic runs in its second week, Dude’s opening-week figures were far bigger, propelling it to a decisive advantage in total receipts. At Day 12, Dude has made ₹80 crore in India and more than ₹100 crore internationally, while Bison has ₹44 crore locally.

Audience Response and Critical Reception

Dude has been praised for its blend of romance, comedy, and action. Pradeep Ranganathan’s performance has been a standout, with critics noting his ability to balance emotional depth with comic timing. The chemistry between Pradeep and Mamitha Baiju has also drawn attention, contributing to the film’s appeal among younger audiences.

Buzz on social media and reviews from fans have been major contributors towards maintaining interest, particularly in multiplexes in cities. Its momentum has weakened, though, in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities where Bison Kaalamaadan is picking up pace.

What’s Next for Dude

With the ₹100 crore mark reached worldwide, Dude will likely have its run on theatres for at least another week, although revenues will slow down. The film will probably be available on streaming sites by mid-November, possibly leading to further amplification of its reach.

Trade experts feel that despite the second-week downturn, Dude will be certified as a Superhit due to its excellent opening and profitability. The success of the movie is also an encouraging directorial debut for Keerthiswaran and enhances Pradeep Ranganathan’s rising star in Tamil films.
